Abstract

We investigate the influence of the real gas effect on aerodynamic performance and aerodynamic heating for the target lifting body.

Goal

In the chemical reaction model, various temperature models have been proposed. The objective is to investigate the aerodynamic performance of the lifting body and their effect on aerodynamic heating.

Objective

The aim is to analyze the airflow analysis around the target lifter body with different temperature models and to compare the aerodynamic coefficients.

Use of the Supercomputer

It is used for the parametric study of earch high calculation cost case.

Necessity of the Supercomputer

Since the computation cost of the air flow considering the real gas effect around the whole lifting body is high, it is necessary to use the supercomputer.

Achievements of the Year

We analyzed four types of temperature models at altitude of 80 km and Mach number of 21.8 at the different 5 cases of angle attack for the target lifting body.
