How to use JSS3
There are several types of programs to use JSS3 for those who are outside of JAXA. They are presented in the table below.

| Inter-University Research Institute Program of JSS | As part of Inter-University Research Institute Program, JSS3 Supercomputer system is available for research themes of space sciences. The themes shall be closely related to the ones for flying objects (science satellites, rockets, large balloons) of the Institute of Space and Astronautical Science (ISAS). | Researches who belongs to universities nationwide or public research institutes, or who are equivalent. | Submit the application form in the e-mail by 20th. of the month. Available from the 20th of the following month. Delayed start and rejection in some cases. (See Note 1 below for detail.) |
| JAXA Facility Utilization | JAXA’s experiment facilities and other equipment are available for a fee to those who are involved in research and development for academic research or scientific innovation. JSS3 is available for production run. Trial use program is also offered for a free of charge. | Private companies, Universities, Research institutes. | Download the required documents from WWW of JAXA Business Development and Industrial Relations Department, fill out and send them to the supercomputer inquiry desk (see Note 2 below). |
| General Use | Use of JSS3 for business and projects of JAXA. | Students, Partners and others who are in charge of the research activities in JAXA. Person of the companies or universities which have cooperative research contracts with JAXA. | Apply via JAXA employees.(See Note 3 below for deatil). |
