“JSS2 Portal” is the web-based application for JSS2 users, with which you could perform operations of Supercomputer without deep knowledge of Unix system.

Major information and functions which JSS2 Portal provides are as follows.

• Online Applications of User Requests
  You could apply applications such as New-User, Use from the outside network of JAXA, disk quota. Documents for applications are also available.

• Information Updates for Users
  Information updates are available for users. They includes announcements of Lectures for Users, and System Outages.

• Information Shelves
  Operational information (Services, Support Desk contact etc.), User’s Guides, and Manual documents could be viewed.
  You could also download some ISV software and Lecture handouts.

• File Operations
  Uploads and downloads between JSS2 SORA-FS (File System) and user’s local PC could be performed. Operations such as editing files are also supported.

• Development of Programs
  You could perform development related activities including editing source programs , compilation, and linkage-editing.

• Control of Jobs
  You could submit or cancel batch jobs. Information of Jobs’ status could be retrieved. You could also examine the results of batch jobs.

  You could use Remote Desktops to operate remote desktop screens on JSS2 computing nodes from your local PCs.

• Observation of System Statuses
  Miscellaneous System Statuses are available. They are Resource Usages, Jobs statistics, I/O statistics, and disk quota limitation and current usage, for example.
