Abstract
According to the specifications of hydrogen aircraft, we prototype and test a "boost pump" to pump up liquid hydrogen from a tank and an "engine pump" to supply high pressure hydrogen to the engine, and support product development by KHI and others. This work was supported by the funding from Development of Core Technologies for Hydrogen Aircraft program in the Green Innovation Fund Projects of NEDO.

Reasons and benefits of using JAXA Supercomputer System
To confirm that there would be no strength problems during the process of the pump cooling from room temperature to the temperature of liquefied hydrogen, JSS3, which can be used with ANSYS Mechanical, was used to calculate the transient temperature conditions and stress under those conditions.
Achievements of the Year
The temperature change when the pump is cooled from room temperature to cryogenic temperatures by the hydrogen flowing inside was calculated using unsteady heat transfer analysis. In addition, a stress analysis of the pump under transient temperature conditions was performed, and it was found that rapid cooling could pose a strength risk, so it is necessary to cool it relatively slowly.
