Abstract
With recent advances in computational resources and numerical analysis technologies, the importance of data analysis methods for unsteady fluid phenomena has grown significantly. This research focuses on the development of tools for automatically extracting underlying characteristic structures from large-scale data obtained from unsteady fluid simulations and related sources.

Reasons and benefits of using JAXA Supercomputer System
In order to utilize large-scale memory and high-performance parallel computing capabilities to conduct accurate data analysis and numerical fluid simulations.
Achievements of the Year
We performed large-scale CFD simulations of wake phenomena. In addition, an unsteady coherent structure analysis technique was applied to the resulting data to investigate the mechanisms of characteristic low-frequency phenomena in the wake behind the body.
