Reasons and benefits of using JAXA Supercomputer System

It was used to perform multiscale acoustic analysis. Detailed modeling, analysis, and evaluation of the microstructures explicitly require the computational resources of JSS3.

Achievements of the Year

In the multiscale acoustic analysis, simulations with approximately one million elements were conducted. When compared with the results from analysis models of a size feasible for execution on a workstation, clear differences were observed. Therefore, further investigation into the dependence on mesh resolution is required.
